I paid $440 (with tax) for this installed and at place well rated in Angies list. I am pretty shocked that they charged me $320 for the install, but I am not really up to doing this myself. This was installed on the used high top conversion van I just bought. When they were showing how it works it became evident that the electronic controls that move the front seats were no longer working. It took him quite some time to get the drivers seat working, but the passenger seat still doesnt. I am wondering if they messed up the electronics. Living in Wisconsin the remote start to heat or cool the van before I get in is really very helpful since I have asthma that is triggered by too cold, too hot with ozone. I am just hoping that the alarms wont be set off by my dogs in their crates or barking.

The avital car alarm and remote start is a great product. not easy to install but it can be done if you dont want to pay a technician to do it. Comes with 2 controls just in case something happens to the other one. All in all I was very satisfied on the avital car alarm
